Last updated on 21 Apr 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MarketingReminder (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website at marketingreminder.com and our scheduling app at app.marketingreminder.com (together, the “Service”).
MarketingReminder is operated by AP Resourcing Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data we process about you.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
- Account data: when you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password.
- Reminder and scheduling data: the marketing tasks, channels, and schedules you create inside the app.
- Usage data: how you interact with the Service, including pages viewed, features used, and device/browser information, via analytics (PostHog).
- Email data: if you subscribe to our newsletter or transactional emails, we store your email address and engagement metrics via our email provider (Kit / Mailjet).
- Support data: messages, attachments, and related metadata when you contact us via our support channels (Freshdesk).
- Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies to keep you logged in, and analytics cookies to understand usage.
2. Why we process your data (lawful basis)
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for (e.g. storing your reminders, sending scheduled emails).
- Legitimate interests: to improve the Service, prevent abuse, and communicate product updates.
- Consent: for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain records for tax, accounting, or law-enforcement purposes.
3. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with sub-processors who help us run the Service, including:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DNS
- PrimaCMS — blog content delivery
- PostHog — product analytics
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) / Mailjet — email delivery
- Freshdesk — customer support
- Stripe — payment processing (if and when you subscribe to a paid plan)
Each sub-processor is bound by a data-processing agreement and is only permitted to use your data to provide services to us.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect our rights or the rights of others.
4. International transfers
Some of our sub-processors are based outside the UK/EEA. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep your data
- Account data: for as long as your account is active, and for up to 12 months after closure to handle disputes and comply with legal obligations.
- Reminder data: deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Analytics data: retained for up to 24 months in aggregated/pseudonymised form.
- Support tickets: retained for up to 3 years.
- Financial records: retained for 7 years, as required by UK tax law.
6. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”) in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to our processing
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data-protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
7. Cookies
We use:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and security. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous or pseudonymous measurement (PostHog). You can opt out via your browser settings.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and audited infrastructure — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
